Aberdeen House

This beautiful 104 year old home got a major face lift. The new extension helped the modern colour beautifully blend in. We love the finish that a nice low sheen paint gives to weatherboards.

What We Used

The paint colours used in this house were Dulux Whisper white and Dulux Monument. Haymes Solashield low-sheen and Haymes Ultra trim were the products used for trim and gloss work.

Anglesea Architectural Dream Restoration

We have completed another gorgeous repaint in Anglesea, Victoria.

This job was a challenging restoration with the amount of timber old timber that needed to be prepared properly, sanded and stained. The team got the best out of our Mirka Dustless Sanding System, keeping the job site dust-free, and the clients happy.

Our team primarily uses water-based coatings for a lesser environmental impact, the Aqualis natural stain is a high performing product that we rely on for these extensive timber restorations.

This is such a drastic repaint and restoration, and we’re very excited for our Geelong and Surf Coast clients to admire the results.

Timeless Restoration: The South Geelong Victorian

A Bold, Dark Palette Brings New Life to a South Geelong Heritage Home

Some homes are made for a bold colour choice and this one was a perfect example. The team recently completed a full exterior transformation on this character-filled home in South Geelong and the result is exactly the kind of dramatic, elegant change we love delivering.

The brief

The owners wanted something bolder than a safe, expected exterior palette a deep, rich colour that would give the home a striking, modern edge while still respecting its original character and detail. It’s a balance that takes real judgement to get right: go too dark or too flat, and you can lose the architectural detail that makes a home like this special in the first place. Get it right, and every feature becomes something to notice rather than something the eye skips past.

This is exactly the kind of decision our heritage colour consultation process is built for testing tones directly on the home, in real light, before anything is finalised.

The process

Weather cooperated perfectly for this one, which made all the difference a full exterior repaint depends heavily on stable, dry conditions to get a clean, lasting finish, and we were able to complete the job start to finish without a single weather delay.

As always with a home like this, the real work happens before any colour goes on: proper preparation of the weatherboards/timber cladding, addressing any problem areas, and making sure the surface was genuinely ready for a deep, rich colour to sit well and last.

The result

The finished result speaks for itself  a flawless, elegant finish that highlights every architectural detail rather than flattening it. The depth of the colour gives the home a bold, contemporary presence while the timeless proportions and period features remain exactly what make it special. It’s the kind of transformation that changes how a home reads on the street, without changing what makes it that home.

We’re genuinely thrilled with how this one came together, and it’s a great example of what’s possible when a bold colour choice is paired with the right preparation and process.

Thinking about a bold exterior colour for your own home?

If you’ve got a home with real character and you’re considering a similarly striking transformation, we’d love to talk through what’s possible — including a proper on-site colour consultation to find the palette that suits your home specifically.

Gorgeous Wandana Heights with City Views

The Home Painting Geelong Team transformed a stunning home in Wandana Heights, with breathtaking city views to match the flawless finish.

These decks are looking better than ever! After stripping them back last year, we’re back to tackle the first two decks of the season, and the results speak for themselves.

WHAT WE USED

We didn’t just grab any product off the shelf—Aqualis H2Oil Timber is a total game-changer. It’s a waterborne, self-priming finish that’s perfect for timber surfaces. This stuff doesn’t just sit on top; it penetrates deep into the wood, locking in the fibers to protect against weather and UV damage. The result? A beautiful matte finish that’s as tough as it is sleek.

We’ve used a lot of deck treatments, but nothing compares to the protection and finish Aqualis H2Oil delivers. These decks are set for anything Mother Nature throws at them!

Come in a nice Matt finish also.
